Shady Oak Barbecue & Grill

Service was very quick and good. My server Brent was very attentive to my needs and answered any questions that I had.

In from out of town and a good friend suggested this place after I mentioned having a taste for barbecue. Ended up trying a three meat sampler plate just to try the ribs and chicken. Overall, the food was pretty good. I did like the ribs the best, but I'd be lying if I said they were the best I've ever had. If the ribs were more tender and came off the bone easier, this would probably be number three on my top 5 list. The sides were great. I really enjoyed the potatoes...kudos for those. This is a very nice place. It's reasonably priced, very large, incredible staff, and a great ambience. Plenty of parking, so you shouldn't have a problem there. If I lived local, I'd frequrnt this spot, when I had that taste for cue.

Good BBQ. I had the brisket and it was very tasty. My husband had Louisiana Ribs. He said they were very good also. Both meals had a good Smoky flavour. The place is nice inside. They have a big fireplace which was great since we it was cold outside. Service was very good.

The food is amazing. You must try the Bacon Burnt Ends. Brisket is pretty dam good too.

Oh Em Gee this place is DELISH!First visit ever and it was scrumptious. Finger licking good if you will. I had the loaded baked potatoes with pulled pork. Definitely the bang for your buck!

Pro tip: you can ask for real butter from the kitchen for that delicious bread they bring out at the beginning.

Had a business dinner here with a group of 30. Our waitress was excellent. Food was great. No complaints. I would definitely go back.

Really good food and service. Amazing bread given with food! I had the 3 meat platter that was with brisket (really good), ham (lean and good but a little salty) and ribs (really good flavor but lacked a little bit in amount of meat on the bone. Overall it was great! We plan on coming back

I went to Shady Oak for lunch, and I was impressed with the smoked turkey that I got. There was a good amount of meat, and it had great flavor! So good that I didn't need any of the house BBQ sauce (which was good as well). I got mashed potatoes and fried okra for my sides. The mashed potatoes were good (and really good with the turkey). The fried okra was good, but not the best that I'd have.I'd definitely come back to Shady Oak to try out the rest of their smoked meats!

I miss the Shady Oak BBQ in Plano, this is a great place with an awesome atmosphere. The staff is welcoming and the Manager seemed to check on everyone with a smile. We will be back!😁

The ribs on this place is one of the best that I've ever had. The atmosphere is very nice. The staff are very friendly and professional.

Second time around was just as good as the first. Good barbecue place with great atmosphere, especially on a colder winter day. Huge fireplace in main dining was perfect. Portions and price are great. I love the bread, it’s like it’s made fresh and brought to your table. So good. Ribs and brisket are great, well smoked and flavorful. 👍🏻

Shady Oaks BBQ (Fossil Creek) has been our “go to” BBQ for twelve years — but it has been on a 3-4 year decline. It has reached the point of being an expensive, nasty, greasy spoon and simply lost all attraction. The food is mediocre at best, the restaurant is dirty, and the staff is more concerned about getting you out than making your dining experience pleasant. We have stopped eating in and tried ordering delivery from Shady Oaks, and just ended up giving their food to our dogs (which, by the way, refused to eat it). Cold meat, horribly greasy fried okra, and fries cooked in old, burnt oil in a miserably uncomfortable restaurant make for a unforgettable meal. Never again.

Terrific BBQ! Salads are delicious too. The complimentary bread will make a keto person cheat and not regret it 😉. Bartender Stephanie is superb! Sincere converasationalist that customers come back to see.

It is getting hard to find actually good BBQ, even in TX. Of course good is subjective to a personal preference. The meats are well done. There is actually a choice of marbling of the brisket. Chicken, sausage & ribs are available. The choose 2 meats option provides a nice portion of each. One of best draws is the unlimited hot bread loaf brought to the table, one of my family's favorites.

Excellent food and service from warm friendly attentive staff. We had asked for a table that was only going to be 5 to 10 minutes on a Saturday night, decided on the bar instead so we could watch the race. I had the Chicken Laredo and highly recommend it. Plenty of parking and easy one-out. Hope to return when we do for the Spring race.

I love Shady Oak. They serve piping hot bread, fresh out of the oven, while you're waiting for your meal. The bread has a distinct smoky flavor and is lightly sprinkled with salt on the outside. The meats are ALL delicious. The turkey is juicy and flavorful, the brisket is moist, Ribs fall off the bone. The Mac n cheese is decent but I do prefer a baked Mac n cheese with real cheddar. Overall, nice place to visit that is consistent and has fast service.

The brisket was some of the best I ever had. Everything there was good, the sauce was excellent, and the meat tender. The only complaint is the ribs which, while tender, have the same flavor as teriyaki beef jerky. Otherwise, I’d want to give this place 6 stars!

This is the best b.b.q in fort worth the ribs and beef are always tender and sausage will melt in your mouth! That also have a great chicken fry and I love the all the sides, but the salad is my favourite along with their fresh hot bread and sauce If you haven’t been you need too go you won’t be disappointed ❣️Donna Cummings

Was not impressed. The brisket was really dry. The pulled pork was dry. The regular sausage was decent. The amount of meat I received on my plate definitely didn't deserve the $16.50 price tag. The service was ok, if slow. And the frozen margarita was watery. It wasn't thick in the least bit. Almost as if it had been left out to melt before it was served. All in all, I will make sure to continue driving past this establishment when looking for some BBQ!

Best BBQ ever! I had the chicken and it was fall off the bone, so delicious. Our server, Rick was fantastic and super attentive. We will be coming back next time we’re in town.

Great barbecue but their outdoor patio and concert series is the best part of this restaurant. Oh, the bread is amazing too!

Shady Oak is one of our go to places when we have guests in town. Every one hears about Texas BBQ and wants it so we bring them here. Service is wonderful and food is fantastic. I love their smoked chicken with barbeque sauce. IMHO the best sauce going 😋 The fried okra is to die for. My sister absolutely loved the baby back ribs. My husband loves the St Louis Ribs and those heavenly onion rings.
